Before you buy LED tubes or lights, you need to know if your current light sockets are even compatible. Start by looking at the socket's position. Will it house a standard LED bulb or tube?

You also need to keep in mind the socket's size. Does it look like a standard socket or is it dated and therefore requires a different type of lighting? You'll want to know these details well in advance to purchasing anything. Also pay attention to any letter symbols located on each light socket. Certain symbols indicate that you should use a specific light size and shape.

Knowing these scores is important for getting the correct lighting scheme in your home. Additionally, when these CRI scores are high, you're more than likely purchasing high-quality LED bulbs. This is something to consider if you're not very familiar with different LED lighting brands

To maximize your LED lights to the fullest, you need to look for certain features. For example, if you're trying to turn your home into a smart home, you'll want LED lights that feature WiFi connectivity. Doing so will allow you to control each light's settings from your smartphone or tablet, no matter where you are in your household.
